Our company culture is very family orientated and we hope to display some of our most memorable employees throughout the years. Please look for future articles title “Where Are They Now” to help bring you up to date on life after J.D. Abrams, L.P.

Jaime Chacon is known by most J.D. Abrams, L.P. employees. Jaime worked on numerous projects probably far too many to count. He went everywhere this company asked him to go, from the waters of the Gulf of Mexico to the mountains of New Mexico. Not many of us realize that Jaime worked for DeMar and Carter Construction which eventually developed into J.D. Abrams, L.P. When Jaime Chacon retired in 2010, he had worked for Abrams longer than any other employee. That speaks volumes of his dedication and loyalty to the company.

Jaime was not only known for his knowledge in construction but for organizing after hours and weekend company get togethers (Barbeques, Fish Fries and more). Many employees have had the opportunity to enjoy time with their coworkers because of events that he planned. Jaime Chacon helped develop the J.D. Abrams family culture and lends true meaning to “One Team, One Company”.

Jaime’s last project with J.D. Abrams L.P. was the Spur 601 in El Paso. He was proud to be part of the innovative construction model. Then again he recalled many fond memories of each project he worked on and the treasured experiences he shared with his coworkers. In his retirement, visiting his family around Texas still occupies most of his time. He speaks proudly of his children and finds true happiness in watching his grandchildren grow old. Jaime still finds time to meet with his fellow Abrams Alumni and of course makes sure that the race horses at Sunland Park have enough to eat.

Everywhere Mr. Chacon went he was a good ambassador for his company and coworkers. Jaime deserves great respect for his professional accomplishments but also for the relationships he has established throughout the construction industry. J.D. Abrams, L.P. will always be proud that Jaime is an “Abrams Man”
