Abrams is proud to announce the grand opening of the Kay Johnson Memorial Library in Valentine, Texas. This former flagstone house is the first public library for the West Texas town with the population of 217. Kay Johnson spent many years in Valentine, TX and has always been an advocate of literacy. With the support of many people, the library is a tribute to Kay Johnson and serves as a great educational environment for the community of Valentine. The opening of the library was celebrated with readings from special guest and authors. The celebrations continued later the following day with a performance from Ray Benson and Asleep at the Wheel. Abrams is honored to have the opportunity to participate in such a great cause as well as pay tribute to an amazing person.
