Cotton Street Emergency Bridge Repair

In El Paso, Texas on October 18, 2013 several train cars derailed and one of the cars hit the Cotton Street I-10 overpass support pillar. Although no injuries were reported Westbound I-10 closed to traffic for a little less than 24 hours reopening only three lanes causing major delays. J.D. Abrams, L.P. bid to repair the bridge for approximately $1.3 million within fifteen days. We are proud to announce that we opened it to traffic eight days after work on the project began and completed the emergency bridge repair in twelve days to obtain the maximum bonus achieved by early completion.
